This is the reason why Jessica was so angry with the guy that Justine fell in love with because her friend is about to lose her sanity and may leave the group at the same time Janis was in abroad.
Left alone with no one to save Justine from the crazy, sickening love, she's left with no choice but to seek help from CLIFFORD who is the cousin of JAKE, the new boyfriend of Justine.
